VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
We are always looking for volunteers to help in the HOPE Center, at the PADS Sites, in our office, or as a Board or Committee member.
HOPE Center Volunteers
HOPE Center services are available Monday through Friday from 9 am to 4 pm. We have 2 available shifts (9 am -12 pm and 12 pm - 3 pm). All volunteers must go through an orientation which can occur at the beginning of the first shift chosen.

PADS Sites Volunteers
Each October 1 st the PADS sites open for the winter months. The sites are staffed entirely by volunteers, who prepare, supervise, and clean sleeping accommodations. They also provide, prepare, and offer dinner, breakfast, and a sack lunch, all in a welcoming, supportive, safe environment.
We ask all new volunteers to attend a 2-hour training session. Everyone is welcome. No reservations are needed, just come on by. For a list of New Volunteer Training Dates and locations click here.
Administrative Volunteers
We occasionally have the need for volunteer help in our office with data entry, filing, etc. Please contact us at (847) 963-9163 ext. 20 for more information.
Board Member Volunteers
A Director of the Journeys Board of Directors is an individual with a commitment to the community, a desire to be an advocate for individuals and families who are our guests and clients, an ability to understand the needs for and establish the policies of the agency, and a willingness to help secure funding required to carry out the mission.

A member of one of Journeys committees is an individual who has a commitment to their community and a desire to share their time and talents with the agency in carrying out our mission to assist the homeless and those at risk of homelessness.
